Bethany Harrison is a pianist, bassist, private teacher, and composer who graduated from Western in 2011 with an Honours Degree in Music (Theory and Composition). She is versatile in classical, jazz, and contemporary piano, as well as her solo compositions, and has more than 10 years of experience in many different jazz ensembles on both electric and upright bass. She is currently pursuing her career in composition full time at Sheridan College’s program in Composing for Film and Video Games and remains fluent in performing for special events, restaurants, weddings, and nursing homes, or wherever the music is needed. As a piano teacher she has also managed a private studio of over 50 piano students of all ages, abilities, and genres of music, hosting two student recitals a year, as well as her own private composition recitals.
